Used Ampeg VL-502 amp head. Very good sounding amp. Cosmetically, it's got 'charactor' :)
Amp was designed by the famous Lee Jackson, known for hotrodding Marshalls. This is a 50w Tube Amp with 2 channels, with a reverb for each channel and a seperate Master for each channel and the best feature; an output Power Attenuator !! So you can crank the heck out of ther power section and push those output tubes and get that great tube distortion, then adjust the attenuator down so it does not destroy your eardrums. The best way to get that saturated tube sound that all those 'modeller' try to 'model' is obtained naturally with this amp. This is probably the cheapest you can buy an amp with an attenuator, think Orange and THD prioce range before you find an amp with that feature.
Knobs are missing, front cover has hole in the plastic Ampeg sign so light behind it shines through. If you're looking for a pretty amp, this ain't it, but if you want a good sounding amp that looks like it's been to hell and back with you, then this may be for you.
I bought it a couple years ago on eBay, have enjoyed it and now I have an Engl and some effects stuff, so I never play with this amp much any more.
This thing is heavy, very heavy. It must have half the steel from pittsburgh on it's transformer...so shipping, I'll put at $50 anywhere in Continetal US. Although I'm sure it'll cost more than that.
